The ONE WORD project aims to tackle the problem of poor mobile phone connectivity in Quarry Park and Shrewsbury town centre.

The Quarry lies in the heart of Shrewsbury and is the main recreational park in the town. The Quarry Park’s riverside setting and associated activities such as rowing, fishing and boat trips attract many visitors. There are also several annual events, the largest being the Shrewsbury Flower Show, which attracts more than 200,000 people in August, and is believed to be the longest running event of its kind in the world.

The Shrewsbury deployment is expected to extend into the town centre to provide an improved experience for visitors and local residents/businesses alike.
The dedicated fibre network that underpins the ONE WORD deployment in Shrewsbury is being installed by Full Fibre Limited, which is providing a 10 gigabit broadband connection into Quarry Park.
